The UK's Annual Whipcracking Convention

Wolverhampton, 2007

Attendees came from as far as Devon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Morecombe, Newcastle, South Wales, Surrey, and everywhere in between.

The standard this year was very good with so many people trying different cracks, styles and routines. There were some awesome loud cracks and some lovely intricate poi style routines being performed and the variation of styles meant there was always something different to watch and learn. If the standard keeps improving at this rate we will soon be catching up with the rest of the world!

Snippets from a few of the many comments received

"I really enjoyed the Convention, and I’m pleased with my competition prize – a novel experience for me". John (South Wales) who signed off as UK Beginners Target Whip Champion 2007 ...guess he was pleased!

"What a great day it was. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. To my surprise I even came away with one more whip than I arrived with. I had never done any target work before and to get eight bites of the spaghetti was, for me, truly amazing". Roger Sawyer (London)

"I had a good time all in all and met some new people and some not so new. I think it's time to invest in a set of Simon Martin whips and some spaghetti"..Ewano (Liverpool)

"We had an absolutely great time, meeting other whip enthusiasts from further afield and learning new skills, as well as improving on
our existing ones. The event was excellent and very well organised".
Cat  & Nathan (Bristol)

"^ Ditto..  A particular thank you to everyone in the intermediate group for taking pity on my dire spaghetti cutting and deliberately fluffing the multi-target competition so I could win something.. (That is what happened, isn't it? I can't believe I won on actual skill..." Nigel
